widow, Easy’s caught between what he wants and can’t have. Until one night
everything changes, and the woman who’s always held his heart ends up in his
arms. Yet as Easy leaves for his next deployment, he and Dani are torn between
their feelings and their loyalty to Joker’s memory.
But when Dani discovers something that sends
them both into a spin, the conflicted lovers must overcome the past to navigate

I have waited...and waited ... and waited.. patiently..ish ..for Easy's story. I mean, who didn't fall in love with the Playboy jokester in the first two books? Especially when we found out his true feelings for Dani. I was excited and nervous to see how they story was going to play out. Would our Playboy settle down for one woman, or would he forever be dropping panties every where he went?
Now, while I love the way the story unfolded, I did have some slight concerns going in. Dani loved Joker. I mean, love loved him. They were together a long time. They went through alot together. This is where my concern lies. How does one move on from that kind of love? Could Chanel tell the story that wouldn't make it sound like Easy came second play or runner up? and this is still where my concerns lie, because I'm not 100% sure he didn't. I'm not 100% sure he wasn't second fiddle. It felt like a lot of the time was constant comparison. I didn't need that. I wanted to see Dani all in. And while storyline wise, I'm sure she got there, it didn't come off with the feels like she was for me.
Chanel tool Dani through the rollercoaster lows of dating and finding yourself while moving on, to the highs of riding the clouds when you find the right person. She also did us good on making their relationship realistic. The fear of friends to lovers. Navigating those murky waters and not knowing how it will play out. Being a little unsure of what to do next. Then Chanel throws in a deployment and you're not sure how either character will handle it because Joker is always forefront in both their minds.
I'm so glad these two characters finally get their love story. But I was also glad to see Thor and Becca, and Noah and Jordan return. I love seeing characters return and getting that little glimpse into their continued story after their book is over. I think what I liked the most about this book was the mask finally came off for Easy. he was finally himself - true feelings and all. He didn't have to hold back anymore, and that man is just too Easy to love.
"“Don’t you get it by now? There is no one else. There never will be anyone else. There’s just her.”

Now here is my problem. I felt like since I just read the end of the series, I needed to re-read the beginning.. I read On Broken Wings and picked Fly With Me up as soon as I was done. I just had to have more. The story of Jordan and Noah is one of my favorite reads of 2016. I absolutely love love love the humor Chanel mixed in with this amazing love story.
I still, even this time around, love Jordan's constant comparison to Top Gun, and the cookey things she would think up to call Noah.
Chanel did a great job of making everything to easy to understand when it comes to the world of the Fighter Pilots, easy to follow and relate to, as well as making it hot as hell. Learning more about Noah, Easy, Thor and Dani made this book so much better. She doesn't just throw characters at us, we get to learn them all, fall in love with them all. And it's in this book we learn that Easy isn't who you think he is, and I loved when he and Jordan had their heart to heart. This book, this beginning is where I fell in love with Easy.
When Chanel took the story into its last stretch she really stepped up the emotional aspect of the story. Even the second time around, I still love it, I still feel it. I even had moments where I had to stop reading and grab a tissue.
I love this series so much. I am so sad to see it go. I give On Broken Wings 4 stars, but I give the series 4.5 stars.
