On a weekend visit to Las Vegas to visit his brother, Marine Braeden Daniels meets a woman who challenges him in ways he can’t deny. The best part is she wants what he wants.
No strings. No feelings. Just fun.
AJ is a Las Vegas performer who is finally living her dream. Growing up poor, she’s determined to succeed at any cost. No one will stand in her way—not even a hot Marine who breezes into her life all confidence and a cocky smile.
A few stolen weekends and neither can deny the feelings quickly growing between them. But the obstacles that keep them apart become more devastating when the Marine Corps calls Braeden away for a six-month deployment.
It’s only six months.

Are you looking for a book that will make you fall in love with two characters, break your heart into a million pieces, then put it back together in the best of ways? That will be full of ALL. THE. FEELS? Then this, this is the book you want to one click, the book you want to read. I'm not kidding people, you want to read this book. The angst. Now, don't get me wrong. If you've read my reviews before, you know that when two characters don't talk it DRIVES ME INSANE. And yes, that happened here too. But there was this weird sense of understanding too, with everything else that was going on.
But then, there's also the fact that their relationship began as no strings attached. They were both so upfront about how they felt about no commitments type a thing. So immediately I had respect for these two. I was hoping this would continue. The being upfront thing. But alas, you know they can't. That would make things too easy.
I was also super uber creeped out and disappointed in AJ and her boss. And que the hearbreak. Not only because these two are so in love and so far apart at the same time. Like I said, heart break. The way JB broke these two, in two totally different ways , but broke the same will truly hurt to read. They're already hurting being apart, but what happens to these two.. it was heartbreaking.
Of course, then JB finds a way to physically heal, and give them time to heal emotionally. Heal together. Heal each other. And, at one point, others too. I know you're wondering what I'm talking about, and I'm not going to tell you.
If you've read the Fighting series, you will like this book. You'll want to read this book, the final in the series. It'll be hard to read, but worth it!
