❤❤ ROYAL TREATMENT 4 star review by Tracy Wolff ❤❤

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What’s a crown prince to do with time on his hands? Or better yet, who? It’s Prince Garrett’s turn to find love in this mouthwatering standalone novel from the New York Timesbestselling author of Royal Pain.

Once upon a time I was being groomed to sit on the throne of Wildemar. Now I’m lucky they let me into the palace through the front door. After I was kidnapped and tortured by extremists, my reward upon my release is that nobody trusts me enough to let me be king. And since my twin brother, Kian, has assumed all my responsibilities, I figure why not take over as the black sheep?

But after breaking things off with my betrothed—we never had much chemistry, anyway—and giving the jetsetting playboy lifestyle a try, I’m starting to wonder if I’m cut out for this s***. Then I meet Lola Barnes, a drop-dead gorgeous entrepreneur from the States who’s as refreshing as she is feisty.

It’s supposed to be a one-night-stand—until the press catches wind of my “new American sweetheart.” Trouble is, Lola’s no sweetheart. But the more I see our names together in the headlines, the more I find myself craving another taste. . . .

arc received from the Publisher for an honest, voluntary, unbiased review.

" She’s worth more than a crown, worth more than a kingdom."

That one sentence encompasses the whole relationship between Garrett and Lola. It could not more clearly define the way these two fall in love.

Our poor Gorgeous Garrett has been through hell, literally. All while fighting the darkness and memories of what he lived through, his torture, he's stripped of what is rightfully his. In essence, he loses his sense of self, loses everything once he finally makes it out alive. And as the story unfolds, as you learn what he lived through, the gut wrenching torture, your heart will break for this man. Not only for what he lived through, but because it's being held against him, he's being blamed for it. Talk about horrible. Throughout this whole book I not once liked his father. There was not one redeeming quality that he displayed, not one. And this continues to the very end. The ultimatums, mind games, the crap that spews from his mouth. He's a horrible man.

Then we have Lola. Garret's light in the darkness. Who unknowingly is slowly pulling him from his darkness just by being with him. By loving him. And yes, she too has her own hangups. Unfortunately out of the both of them, she's the one who caves to them. Who let's them win. I will admit however, I do truly love this character. Raised by a single mom, entrepreneur, kicking butt at it too, strong willed, independent, just fierce. She may be stupid at times when it comes to Garret, still his match in every way.

I will say this, while we do get our epilogue. I would love to know HOW we got there.

Tracy delivers such an amazing love story here. When life got in the way, or other deadlines, I was sad to put this down. She delivers yet another addicting love story that will have you wishing even you could find a broken prince.
