In this retelling of the timeless movie Royal Wedding starring Fred Astaire, an American classical musician travels to London to perform at the festivities of the royal wedding of Great Britain’s princess, but soon finds himself dangerously attracted to the bride!

When Asher Reed, an American classical musician, is hired as a last minute replacement to perform at the royal wedding of Princess Amelia in Great Britain, he’s hoping he can shake his recent bout with performance anxiety long enough to get through the festivities and get his career back on track. Little does he know that his life is about to change forever.

As a guest of Buckingham Palace, he knows he has no business even speaking to the princess, but he’s completely awed by her beauty and more than a little intrigued by her rebellious spirit. Still, he definitely knows he has no business kissing her silly at the fitting of her wedding gown. He’s there to perform, not cause a royal scandal. But when he stumbles upon her groom’s appalling secret, the fate of the princess and the British Crown suddenly rest squarely in his cello-playing hands....

With Teri Wilson’s signature “endearingly charming and delightfully sizzling” (USA TODAY bestselling author Nina Bocci) prose, Royally Wed is a delightful whirlwind romance that will leave you breathless and have you out of your seat for a standing ovation.

I don't think I've ever read a book that had me so up in sorts so quickly. There was so much of this book that I felt so sorry for Amelia. I just couldn't stop myself. Every time I turned around there was a new reason to feel sorry for her. Then it went from sorry to enraged any time she had to deal with her mother. I don't know what it was about any time she encountered the queen that just had me up in arms. I sat and re-read many of the scenes and each time, I found I would get more and more aggravated with the Queen. I don't care if she's the Queen, she's Amelia's mom first and foremost.

Then I would grumble, stupid wedding. Yes, just like Amelia.

I would calm down, and then more people brushing off her worries, her concerns, and more Asher. Well, that doesn't exactly calm you down, when he's all sexy and musical-ish. Is that a word? If not, it should be. I found though, with Asher, it was more of a feeling of my heart ached for him. Because of Serena, because of his music struggle, because of wanting what you can't have.

This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster. Each character took me on a different direction. While normally that's good, I needed resolution . But the corgi's, they sure do add the comical element needed to balance out all the emotions!

But I also found myself getting mad at Amelia. I wanted her to stand up for herself so badly. She deserved so much more! and she gets it, we get it. We get that taste of everything that Amelia and Asher deserve.. until Teri decides to rip it away from us and break our hearts right there in the middle of the floor, surrounded by James, Asher, and Willow. Not even cute little Willow could make it any better.

I know you're wondering just what I thought of the book since it took me to such heart breaking lows. I loved it. I 've never read this series or this author, and I am happy to say that I adored it. I'm so glad I gave these characters, this story line, this author a chance. It is highly recommended.
