Author:  Chelsea Camaron
Genre:  Contemporary (The Hellions Ride #8)

Four men, four families, four originals, one club.
Go back to where it all began so long ago for Roundman, Danza, Frisco, and the late Rocky Fowler. A life choice, a road less traveled, all coming together in the name of brotherhood.
Some found love, some faced loss, and others learned real loyalty. This is the story before the chaos. This is how the originals ride.

*This is a full length novel. Each book in the Hellions Ride series can be read as a stand-alone story with NO cliffhanger endings. Contains adult language, situations, and violence not recommended for readers under the age of 18.
This is not an exact depiction of life in a motorcycle club but rather a work of fiction meant to entertain.

I am a huge fan of The Hellions Ride series. Originals Ride being the 8th installment gives us the 4 men that started it all. Roundman, Frisco, Danza and Rocky shared a brotherhood bond that most brothers don't have. The lives of these 4 men made up everything a good book needs - love, loss, a fight worth fighting and family. I can not say enough about this book. And the good news is you don't have to have read the first 7 to enjoy this book. Actually, I am thinking it would have been kind of neat to have read this one first.

Of course, my favorite part of the book was the romance between Dia and Roundman. Their love just made me want to sigh. Her unwavering support of Roundman actually made me question myself. I mean in the very first chapter she shows that she has Roundman's back no matter what. Her douche of an ex pops in, runs his mouth and makes threats. Dia stands right behind her man and says you got this (paraphrasing, obviously).

My advice: Read this book! Read this series! You will not be sorry!

This was a 4 Star read for me

“Hush, little baby, don’t say a word,” Dia sings softly to our baby

girl. “Daddy’s gonna buy you a Harley shirt.”

I can’t stop the laugh that escapes as I lean against the doorjamb.
Little noises come from our baby, and Dia looks up at me with sharp eyes.

“Well then, Mister Chuckles, you come put her to sleep.” She stands from the rocking chair and brings me the baby all wrapped in red.

Claudia was adamant that our nursery and baby not look like someone vomited Pepto pink in her room and her wardrobe. Can’t say that I’m sad she feels that way, either.

With her hair all wild around her face, her eyes tired from lack of sleep these last few days, and baby spit-up on her shirt, my wife has never looked more disheveled nor more beautiful.

Taking Delilah from her arms, I kiss my wife on her forehead. “Go shower and take a nap, love.”

“Gladly,” she says with an exhausted smile. With a quick kiss to our daughter’s head and one to my lips, she heads off to her sanctuary—our bedroom.

Sitting in the rocker that faces my daughter’s crib all decked out in hot air balloons with teddy bears, I have to smile at how life has changed from the moment they placed Delilah in my arms.

With the face of a doll, eyes of an angel, and a head of blonde hair to match her mother’s, my baby girl is absolutely perfect.

Bright eyes look up at me as she opens and closes her mouth like a fish. “Never known love so deep, dollface.” My voice is raspy as I try not to be loud, but I want to talk to my little girl. “Loved your momma before, but watching her with you, holding you, having you … Well, Doll, I’ve never know anything purer in my life.”

My daughter smiles. Dia says it’s gas, but I don’t care. My baby girl smiles before her eyes close, and she snuggles closer to me.

“Leather, oil, and man,” I explain happily. “One day, you’re gonna grow up, and when you find a man, he should smell like a hardworking man, Doll.” The thought of my baby girl growing up has me twitching to shoot something. “Never mind that, precious. I promise you, as your dad, I’ll be the man you look up to. I’ll be the man who makes you proud. I’ll be rock solid for you and your momma. I’ll give you my all and my love.” I rock her, thinking of what it’s going to be like to watch her grow. “When the time comes to let you go, I’m going to fight like hell to keep you with me. I’ll give my life before I’ll let anyone touch you.” Kissing her head as she soundly sleeps, I hold my daughter in my arms.

Engaging the Bachelor is the first book of the Pulse series and my first Cathryn Fox read. The whole pretend engagement trope needs to be done just right or it goes south really quick. With this in mind I had my reservations, but there was just something that made me keep coming back to it. I am so glad I gave it a chance. Cathryn Fox now has a fan for life. This book pulled me and wouldn't let go.

Carson Reynolds had a one night stand that he just hasn't been able to forget. If only he had gotten her name. Fast forward 10 years and he is being given another chance. Carson may very well be the perfect man. He knows how to talk dirty and make the sheets sizzle, but has this super sweet and caring side that makes you want to sigh.

The night Gemma Carr lost her virginity was memorable for many reasons. Unfortunately, they didn't exchange names and no one has ever made Gemma feel as special or as protected. Since then she has built a wall to keep people at a distance and protect her heart. When fate drops her mystery man back into her life those walls don't stand a chance.

This couple were sizzling one minute and pulling on your heartstrings the next. Their was nothing predictable about this story. Even when I thought I knew exactly what was going to happen it went in a bit of a different direction.

The Pulse series is not your typical series. It's actually a series of 3 other books written by Mari Carr, Lauren Hawkeye and Jan Meredith. I can't say enough about this book and really hope it's a good indication of what this series is yet to bring.

This was a 4 Star read for me

She shook her head. “Are you always so annoying?”

He laughed. “Annoying? Women have called me a lot of things. You know, like hot stuff, adorable, and stud muffin... But annoying was never one of them.”

“Stud muffin? Who calls you that, your grandmother?”

“Jesus, that’s just wrong.” He made a face like he’d just sucked a lemon. “What kind of weirdo are you anyway?” he teased. “Grandma would never say something like that to her grandson.”

“Her friend, then? Someone older.”
“I wouldn’t say that, exactly.”
“Then what exactly would you say?”
He kicked at an imaginary pebble. “I’m pretty sure Ethel is at least a year younger than Grandma.”
Gemma laughed. “Come on, Stud Muffin,” she said, and then mumbled something else under her breath and started up the steep flight of stairs. He followed behind, her sexy body dragging every dirty idea he ever had to the forefront of his brain. Her skirt lifted with each step, exposing the soft swell of her tanned backside. Christ, did she sunbathe in the nude? A groan caught in his throat, and she stopped and turned.

“What now?”

He coughed. “I’m not complaining, but you might want to wear panties with that uniform.”

She ran her hand over the back of her skirt, smoothing it over her luscious ass, and scowled at him. “I am wearing panties. Maybe you should just stop looking so hard.”

He adjusted his pants. No sense in hiding what she did to him. “Key word being hard, Gemma.”

She glared at him, but he didn’t miss the twitch in her lips. “This is dinner and nothing more. Just so we’re clear, I don’t owe you anything other than that.”

“Right. Dinner. I know.” He coughed again. “But just so you’re clear, I do want to have sex with you again. I don’t believe in playing games, unless of course handcuffs are involved, so I figured I might as well get that right out there in the open.”

A beat of silence, and then, “I appreciate your honesty, but I’m not having sex with you, Carson.”

His cock twitched at her feeble protest. “Say that again.” “I’m not having sex with you, Carson.”
“No, just that last part.”
She eyed him and her sweet pink tongue snaked out and brushed over her bottom lip. Was she trying to kill him? “Carson.”

“Yeah, that’s it. I want you to say it just like that when I’m inside you.” He kept his expression deadpan when her mouth dropped open in a silent O. He probably shouldn’t be trying to rattle her, but she was just so damn sexy when she was thrown off her game—and yeah, she was playing with him as much as he was playing with her. There was a connection between them whether she wanted to acknowledge it or not. The push/ pull was palpable, and he’d be damned if he wasn’t going to use everything in his arsenal to explore it further.

New York Times and USA today bestselling author, Cathryn is a
wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. She has two teenagers who keep her busy with their never ending activities, and a husband who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. Cathryn can never find balance in her life, is always trying to find time to go to the gym, can never keep up with emails, Facebook or Twitter and tries to write page-turning books that her readers will love.
