❤ Upcoming release ROCCO by Sarah Castille 4-4.5 star review ❤

My rating: 4-4.5 of 5 stars

Cold, hard and utterly ruthless, Rocco is the most dangerous of men. Feelings are a luxury he cannot afford—until a chance encounter brings him face to face with the only woman who found her way into his heart and touched his soul.

Grace Mantini has spent her whole life running from the mob. Daughter of the boss's right hand man, she is both a prize and a target. When Rocco walks back into her life, she wants nothing to do with the man who betrayed her and broke her heart. But only Rocco can protect her from the dangerous forces that seek to destroy her family. Can they escape the hands of fate closing around them? Or will love be the kiss of death for them both?

“How can you want me every minute of the day?”“Becauseyou’re you.”

gah! who knew the enforcer could be so damn sweet! I wasn't sure about this book at first because it was Rocco and he's always been the cold-blooded bastard emotionless enforcer. But in this book, we get to see the lovely flower that is Rocco open up layer by layer, thanks to Grace, and we see this man who loves so fiercely and deeply. it's quite beautiful.

this book has so much going on. History between Grace and Rocco, present unfolding between them. Secrets. Coups. Secret assassins. Love. Trust. Family. Secrets. Fighting. it's just coming at us from all angles right from the beginning. This is one book that just does not stop. Just when you think it's died down, Sarah throws a curve ball at us. Well hello there unexpected person who's identity we didn't know. and when we find the ties, how everything is tied together, it's kind of baffling. I won't lie, I got so confused with all the different family names. a lot of times I struggled to keep them all straight, which took away from the storyline because I couldn't remember who was who was who and in what family. Dont get me wrong, Sarah provided hints. But with so many families involved sometimes it didn't help. Other than that, I have no complaints with this story

Though I am dying to know..... what's his family name? where did he come from? what family? Though, technically I have to ask, does it matter? Because the family he has now is amazing.

I really liked how both of our characters grew in this story. Sarah managed to take our Heroine who hated what her family was, and bring her to a place in her life where she embraced it, accepted it. she fought along the way, but she got there. Seems she changed her perspective on some other things as well. She also learned to trust herself. You have Rocco who learned loved isn't a weakness, and that it is okay to surround yourself with friends and family. That it's okay to consider people friends and family. That it's okay to.open up to them. That he deserved more than what Cesare tried to ingrain in him. These two just came so far in this book, and more importantly they wouldn't have come this far without each other

I've read a lot of Sarah's work and I think if you haven't picked her up before, you don't know what you're missing. Rocco, and the other books in the series, are so addictive. This one is a second chance romance you don't want to kiss. you just have to enjoy those other morsels in the series to enjoy this one (IMO). Sarah always manages to write such detailed and in depth stories that just suck you right in and it all becomes so realistic as you read it. You feel the emotions of the characters and you're always sitting on the edge of your seat from all the drama.
