I'd dated his brother.
He didn’t remember and I wish I could forget.
I may have sworn off the Wright family a long time ago. But
when I returned home, Jensen Wright crashed into my life with the confidence of
a billionaire CEO and the sex appeal of a god. Even I couldn’t resist our
charged chemistry, or the way he fit into my life like a missing puzzle piece.
Too bad he’d forgotten the one thing that could destroy us.
Because Jensen Wright doesn’t share. Not with anyone. And if
his brother finds out, this could all go down in flames.
When it all was said and done, was he the Wright brother?

EXCERPT
Her smile was magnetic, and I just wanted to kiss her. I
mean…I’d wanted to kiss her all night. But sitting there, in front of the last
lit house, with Christmas music playing in the background and her smile
radiating joy, there was nowhere else I’d rather be. That thought hit me so suddenly
and I didn’t even know why.
I put my truck into park, leaned over to her side of the
car, and pushed my hand up into her dark hair. She froze, silhouetted by the
light display behind her. Her eyes locked with mine, green meeting brown, and
her eyes widened with surprise. She breathed out softly, and I could feel her
pulse ratchet up at my touch.
This was the girl who had pulled me across the room at
Sutton’s wedding, like a magnet finding its pair. This was the tension that I’d
felt when we first spoke. Here was the world of desire and lust that had
clouded both of our minds ever since our first kiss.
My face was only inches from hers. I wanted to take what was
mine. I wanted to claim her mouth and then her body right here in the cab of my
truck, like we were young, wild, and carefree.
But, instead, I couldn’t seem to stop staring at her.
She laughed lightly to try to defuse the tension. But it
wasn’t possible, and it was a feeble effort.
“Are you going to kiss me?” she whispered boldly.
I didn’t need any further prodding. I crushed my lips
against hers. It was like striking a match. Our lips moved against each other,
desperate with the need to get closer, to have more. She opened her mouth for
me, and I brushed my tongue against hers. The groan that emanated from deep in
the back of her throat made my dick twitch. Our tongues volleyed for position.
She was just as aching for attention as I was.
I heard the click of her belt buckle, and soon, she was
pushing her body closer, moving over the divide of my truck. My hands fell to
her ass, and I effortlessly hoisted her up and into my seat. She squeaked in shock
but didn’t break contact. Instead, she straddled me and let her hands wander
across my chest.
My hands never left her ass because, damn, did that woman
have an ass. She was grinding up against me, and I moved into a full-blown hard-on
at her ministrations. She must have realized what she was doing to me because,
when she swiveled her hips in place, she moaned against the feel of my dick.
In that moment, I didn’t give a shit that we were acting
like teenagers, parked outside of a stranger’s house, bucking against each
other for just an ounce of satisfaction. I was ready to strip her bare and fuck
her until she forgot every word to every Christmas song and only remembered my
name.
That was, until she rocked back just a little too hard, and
a loud honk erupted from the hood of the truck.

I am a huge fan of The Hellions Ride series. Originals Ride being the 8th installment gives us the 4 men that started it all. Roundman, Frisco, Danza and Rocky shared a brotherhood bond that most brothers don't have. The lives of these 4 men made up everything a good book needs - love, loss, a fight worth fighting and family. I can not say enough about this book. And the good news is you don't have to have read the first 7 to enjoy this book. Actually, I am thinking it would have been kind of neat to have read this one first.
Of course, my favorite part of the book was the romance between Dia and Roundman. Their love just made me want to sigh. Her unwavering support of Roundman actually made me question myself. I mean in the very first chapter she shows that she has Roundman's back no matter what. Her douche of an ex pops in, runs his mouth and makes threats. Dia stands right behind her man and says you got this (paraphrasing, obviously).
My advice: Read this book! Read this series! You will not be sorry!
This was a 4 Star read for me
“Hush, little baby, don’t say a word,” Dia sings softly to our baby
girl. “Daddy’s gonna buy you a Harley shirt.”
I can’t stop the laugh that escapes as I lean against the doorjamb.
Little noises come from our baby, and Dia looks up at me with sharp eyes.
“Well then, Mister Chuckles, you come put her to sleep.” She stands from the rocking chair and brings me the baby all wrapped in red.
Claudia was adamant that our nursery and baby not look like someone vomited Pepto pink in her room and her wardrobe. Can’t say that I’m sad she feels that way, either.
With her hair all wild around her face, her eyes tired from lack of sleep these last few days, and baby spit-up on her shirt, my wife has never looked more disheveled nor more beautiful.
Taking Delilah from her arms, I kiss my wife on her forehead. “Go shower and take a nap, love.”
“Gladly,” she says with an exhausted smile. With a quick kiss to our daughter’s head and one to my lips, she heads off to her sanctuary—our bedroom.
Sitting in the rocker that faces my daughter’s crib all decked out in hot air balloons with teddy bears, I have to smile at how life has changed from the moment they placed Delilah in my arms.
With the face of a doll, eyes of an angel, and a head of blonde hair to match her mother’s, my baby girl is absolutely perfect.
Bright eyes look up at me as she opens and closes her mouth like a fish. “Never known love so deep, dollface.” My voice is raspy as I try not to be loud, but I want to talk to my little girl. “Loved your momma before, but watching her with you, holding you, having you … Well, Doll, I’ve never know anything purer in my life.”
My daughter smiles. Dia says it’s gas, but I don’t care. My baby girl smiles before her eyes close, and she snuggles closer to me.
“Leather, oil, and man,” I explain happily. “One day, you’re gonna grow up, and when you find a man, he should smell like a hardworking man, Doll.” The thought of my baby girl growing up has me twitching to shoot something. “Never mind that, precious. I promise you, as your dad, I’ll be the man you look up to. I’ll be the man who makes you proud. I’ll be rock solid for you and your momma. I’ll give you my all and my love.” I rock her, thinking of what it’s going to be like to watch her grow. “When the time comes to let you go, I’m going to fight like hell to keep you with me. I’ll give my life before I’ll let anyone touch you.” Kissing her head as she soundly sleeps, I hold my daughter in my arms.

❤❤Engaging the Bachelor by Cathryn Fox 4 Star Review + Blog Tour + Excerpt + Giveaway❤❤
Title: Engaging the Bachelor
Author: Cathryn Fox
Genre: Contemporary Romance (Pulse #1)
Release Date: June 6, 2016
Hot Southampton doctor Carson Reynolds isn't the kind of man Gemma Carr should be playing with. But his offer of a fake engagement comes with sexy, late night house calls, and despite her bad girl reputation, it's been far too long since she's taken two and called anyone in the morning.
When Carson sees Gemma at a charity event, he knows he has to have her. It's been ten years since he's had her in his arms, but that hasn't lessened his intense need for her. To save her reputation and get his parents off his back, he makes her an offer she can't refuse. It's the perfect set-up--until this fake engagement starts to feel a little too real...
Hotness Rating 3 out of 5
Engaging the Bachelor is the first book of the Pulse series and my first Cathryn Fox read. The whole pretend engagement trope needs to be done just right or it goes south really quick. With this in mind I had my reservations, but there was just something that made me keep coming back to it. I am so glad I gave it a chance. Cathryn Fox now has a fan for life. This book pulled me and wouldn't let go.
Carson Reynolds had a one night stand that he just hasn't been able to forget. If only he had gotten her name. Fast forward 10 years and he is being given another chance. Carson may very well be the perfect man. He knows how to talk dirty and make the sheets sizzle, but has this super sweet and caring side that makes you want to sigh.
The night Gemma Carr lost her virginity was memorable for many reasons. Unfortunately, they didn't exchange names and no one has ever made Gemma feel as special or as protected. Since then she has built a wall to keep people at a distance and protect her heart. When fate drops her mystery man back into her life those walls don't stand a chance.
This couple were sizzling one minute and pulling on your heartstrings the next. Their was nothing predictable about this story. Even when I thought I knew exactly what was going to happen it went in a bit of a different direction.
The Pulse series is not your typical series. It's actually a series of 3 other books written by Mari Carr, Lauren Hawkeye and Jan Meredith. I can't say enough about this book and really hope it's a good indication of what this series is yet to bring.
This was a 4 Star read for me
She shook her head. “Are you always so annoying?”
He laughed. “Annoying? Women have called me a lot of things. You know, like hot stuff, adorable, and stud muffin... But annoying was never one of them.”
“Stud muffin? Who calls you that, your grandmother?”
“Jesus, that’s just wrong.” He made a face like he’d just sucked a lemon. “What kind of weirdo are you anyway?” he teased. “Grandma would never say something like that to her grandson.”
“Her friend, then? Someone older.”
“I wouldn’t say that, exactly.”
“Then what exactly would you say?”
He kicked at an imaginary pebble. “I’m pretty sure Ethel is at least a year younger than Grandma.”
Gemma laughed. “Come on, Stud Muffin,” she said, and then mumbled something else under her breath and started up the steep flight of stairs. He followed behind, her sexy body dragging every dirty idea he ever had to the forefront of his brain. Her skirt lifted with each step, exposing the soft swell of her tanned backside. Christ, did she sunbathe in the nude? A groan caught in his throat, and she stopped and turned.
“What now?”
He coughed. “I’m not complaining, but you might want to wear panties with that uniform.”
She ran her hand over the back of her skirt, smoothing it over her luscious ass, and scowled at him. “I am wearing panties. Maybe you should just stop looking so hard.”
He adjusted his pants. No sense in hiding what she did to him. “Key word being hard, Gemma.”
She glared at him, but he didn’t miss the twitch in her lips. “This is dinner and nothing more. Just so we’re clear, I don’t owe you anything other than that.”
“Right. Dinner. I know.” He coughed again. “But just so you’re clear, I do want to have sex with you again. I don’t believe in playing games, unless of course handcuffs are involved, so I figured I might as well get that right out there in the open.”
A beat of silence, and then, “I appreciate your honesty, but I’m not having sex with you, Carson.”
His cock twitched at her feeble protest. “Say that again.” “I’m not having sex with you, Carson.”
“No, just that last part.”
She eyed him and her sweet pink tongue snaked out and brushed over her bottom lip. Was she trying to kill him? “Carson.”
“Yeah, that’s it. I want you to say it just like that when I’m inside you.” He kept his expression deadpan when her mouth dropped open in a silent O. He probably shouldn’t be trying to rattle her, but she was just so damn sexy when she was thrown off her game—and yeah, she was playing with him as much as he was playing with her. There was a connection between them whether she wanted to acknowledge it or not. The push/ pull was palpable, and he’d be damned if he wasn’t going to use everything in his arsenal to explore it further.
wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. She has two teenagers who keep her busy with their never ending activities, and a husband who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. Cathryn can never find balance in her life, is always trying to find time to go to the gym, can never keep up with emails, Facebook or Twitter and tries to write page-turning books that her readers will love.31 May 2016
❤❤ Je Suis A Toi by Pepper Winters Release Day + Review ❤❤
Title: Je Suis à Toi
Series: Monsters In the Dark 3.5
Author: Pepper Winters
Genre: Erotica
Release Date: May 27, 2016
Blurb
Q made me the happiest esclave in the world. He gave me his heart, his empire, his ruthless unforgiving love. And life finally left us in peace.
A man like my maître has special needs though, growing stronger as our lives intertwine. The only way to survive his monster is to agree to all his desires.
Including his latest wish.
I’m his.
And I won’t refuse.
Excerpt
“Don’t struggle. You know I’ll keep you safe.” Q’s murmur danced down my back.
My panic receded as trust billowed fast and true.
Q was born into darkness, but he’d never baptized me in his blackest desires. And because of that, I could implicitly say he spoke the truth. No matter what he did to me, he would never truly harm me.
Q paused, his tattooed chest soaking. His feathered sparrows fluffing off droplets almost alive on his skin. “I told you once never to fall for me. That I didn’t want the curse of breaking your heart while I broke so many other pieces of you.” His hands landed on my breasts, cupping them reverently. “Yet you fought me, just like you said you would. You fell for me, just like you promised me you would. And now, you’re willing to give me what I need even after I tricked you and lied.”
I swayed as I fell even deeper for this complex husband of mine. Q was all my fantasies in one glorious lifetime. The fact he finally wanted to share me with his child spoke volumes about his capacity to love.
“I’m so glad you ignored me, esclave.” His fingertips branded my nipples with pain. “So fucking happy you married me.” Pushing me backward, he smiled harshly as my spine met the pool wall. His chest strained as he sucked in a heavy breath. “You’re so fucking beautiful.”
My heart hammered in my ears as he kissed me.
His tongue laced with mine, and I sank into the sweet embrace, knowing it would be the last I received tonight. The air crackled with an impending storm. Q’s control frayed every second, his eyes drenching in determination and the salacious need to hurt.
Breaking the kiss, he opened his hand, revealing the other item he’d retrieved.
A tiny pair of silver scissors.
Haven’t met Q & Tess yet?
Grab the Monsters in the Dark Box set here:
I'm sitting here staring at my computer screen, because I just don't know what to say about this book. I loved it on one hand because it's the truly traditional HEA we have been dying for for Q and Tess. But on the other hand, I struggled with parts of it because it was redundant and felt like we were beating a dead horse. I found myself getting very very frustrated with Q and his inability to see anything past his own ideals, opinions, wants and needs.
But then on the other hands, this is typical Q, so it shouldn't surprise me.. but for this, it did. His reactions, or overreactions, they all just got under my skin and seemed irritating to me. But then I'm sitting here wondering .. is this just me. I mean I do have a lot going on in my life personally. Is that making me have a short trigger? Is that making me get irritated quickly? Is that messing with my bookmeter?
I love these two characters. I mean hands down adore them. And I am absolutely obsessed with Pepper Winters and her writing style. It is addictive, and this book didn't disappoint in that aspect. I still couldn't put it down. I just struggled with the characters. But the storyline, absolute perfection.
I gave this book a 4 Star review
About the Author:
Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex... her books have sex.
She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby who puts up with her love affair with her book boyfriends.
