TAKE – verb: to reach for and hold in one’s hands or get into one’s possession, power or control.
Logan Mitchell is a man who’s always been more than happy to take what he wants. It’s a philosophy that’s proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try—he’s hooked.
Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep.
He has a choice to make, and it’ll force him to do something he’s never done before—take a chance.
Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan’s apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man.
Ever since then, he’s thought about little else.
At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body’s curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning.
He’s starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it’s one full of excitement and satisfaction—a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife.
Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they’ve found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?

He finally removed his hand, and Tate stepped away to stand beside Logan, who promptly took his.
Tate made sure to interlace their fingers as he held tight.
His silent acceptance.
His silent support.
Logan looked at him, and the rage from seconds ago had been replaced with love and pride. Everything they’d been through over the last few weeks was worth that look.
Tate nodded, and as Logan turned back to face his fear, he knew it was going to be okay.
Let me tell you a story.
I once read a m/m story and I thought it was the best m/m story I had ever read! This book was called Try and it was everything I had ever wanted in a book. It was hot, sexy and powerful. I rated it up there in my top five favourite reads ever and left it at that.
Fast-forward to earlier this month when I opened my kindle and found Take on it. Now I will have to admit that I have been waiting not so patiently for this book, wanting to see where Logan and Tate’s story would go…but damn I didn’t expect this!!
I will tell what I got when I read this book and I will try to do it without gushing too much! I will start with the way it was written as that's the easiest to tell you. As with all of Ella’s other books this one was written impeccably, even if I wasn’t waiting for this book I would have been dragged onto the story. She has the ability to tell a story that grabs you and doesn’t let go. The characters are written in such a way that you feel everything that they are going through. I love the way that the story just continually from one POV to another, you get to experience the whole story from different perspectives and that keeps it fresh!
Ok so now I have to get down to the nitty gritty of this story.
The men themselves!
I love both these men! There story is emotional, heart breaking in bits and so god damn hot! I didn’t think that it could get hotter in this story but I was sooooooo wrong! I stated that Try needed a new pair of panties with each new chapter…this time you will need at least two! I think adding in the emotions that both the men feel adds an edge to it. This time they aren’t Trying, they are Taking and it is so amazing.
I don’t want to say too much about the story as I hate spoilers, but you just need to know that the emotions that these men experience in this story are just overwhelming, and you honestly live their story along with them. I love stories that steal me away from reality, and this one did that from the first chapter.
The only downside to this story that I found was that it ended! I honestly think I could read this story forever and not get bored!
So I now have to go back and amend my top five m/m reads of all time…because Take just knocked Try out of the number one spot!

“That’s your truck?”
“Yes.”
“It’s so…”
“So what?” Logan challenged as he pulled his keys from his pocket.
“Old?”
“Excuse me. I’ll have you know I was driving this baby all through college and she still runs like a dream.”
Tate watched as Logan walked over to run his hand over the scratched-up tailgate, and he was amazed that he even made that look sexy. Like he was stroking a lover.
“And it’s a she, huh?”
Now around at the passenger’s side, Logan opened the door and looked at him over the bed of the truck. “Yeah. Jealous?”
Laughing, Tate walked over to where Logan stood with a hand on the door and kissed him slowly on the mouth.
“I’m jealous of anything you stroke like that.”
“Get in the truck, Tate.”
“Or else?”
Logan stepped forward, crowding him back against the inside frame of the vehicle. “You’re not ready for the or else…”
