holy shit. holy shit. holy shit dude. holy shit! this... dude... holy shit! I know, I'm so eloquently with my words.. but holy shit! this book! totally not what I expected. totally NOT WHAT I EXPECTED! I just.. holy shit! i feel like I'm running in circles , pointing and stuttering. I don't feel like I can form coherent sentence past holy shit and this isn't what I expected. they're on repeat in my head.
this book had so much edge of your seat suspense. so much suspense. like get out your popcorn and read this shit down right addicting suspense.
I'm trying to write this without spoilers, but ahhhh!!! it's so hard. must resist. must. resist. ... .... ....
okay, gah! I just can't take it. you guys need to read this book. And I mean like now. I already mentioned the suspense, but the heart break. oh god. The punishments. The treatments of the kids. The reason for Gage. What he does. How he protects. How Shyann pokes the bear. Oh god, my stomach turned. My eyes watered. I held my kid a little closer. And at first, I didn't like him. I mean, at all. But then as the story unfolded I found myself really liking him, And yes, turned on by his assholeness. Oh god..his taunting.. the chase.. orgasm alert!
Weird right!?!! And then we would get the flip side of the quarter with Lucas and it would make me melt a little bit further.
But not only does Lucas grow and change in this book, Shyann really grows in this book too. She finds her backbone, she finds herself and what she wants, and starts standing up to people. Finds what she wants. Goes for it, fights for it. And it's about time! I mean Trevor, really?
But the drama. Oh god did JB bring her dram-A game in this book. I mean like she stepped it up. Twists and turns and angst and ... did I mention the suspense! oh man, it's been a long time since I was bouncing in a chair excited raving about a book, and right now I want to go scream from the rooftops about this one.
actually if any of you movie people read this ... make this a movie. like, now!
