❤❤ WHAT I NEED by J.Daniels - Review Blitz ❤❤

From New York Times bestselling author, J. Daniels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE novel.

Riley Tennyson has made a huge mistake.

At least, that’s what she keeps telling herself.

Showing up to her brother’s wedding pissed off and newly single, Riley seeks comfort in solitude and an open bar, until the gorgeous and irresistibly charming CJ Tully makes her a better offer―a wild night with the master of smooth-talking where nothing is off limits.

Riley does what any single woman would do, and a connection is made. One neither one of them can ignore. But when she comes home to the boyfriend she no longer thought she had, Riley buries her secret and begs CJ to do the same.

Forget about each other. It was a mistake. That’s all it was… right?

Desires are hidden. Distance is kept. Until one night CJ makes the ultimate sacrifice, and Riley can no longer avoid the man she can’t stop thinking about.

Not with him sleeping down the hall…

While I love J Daniels and her writing, along with the Alabama series, this one didn't strike gold with me. Did I like CJ and Riley? yes. Did I love when CJ was alpha? absolutely. But I don't know. I didn't feel like he was alpha enough. I almost feel like he didn't get enough time to be all alpha-y. He came off as a half alpha to me. And I found myself getting frustrated with Riley and all her excuses. I felt like at every avenue there's excuses for everything when it comes to CJ. Why she can't leave dickhead. Why this, why that, why why why. I'm really not a fan of it. Then when she got upset. I'm sorry, but really. You're comparing these two men and what they did!?! Really. I know she's young. I know with that age, there's a certain maturity level. But really.... you're upset over this, when you did the same thing?!?! I just.... no. I liked her in the beginning, but by the end, nope. I just couldn't.

I did, however, really really love the humor between these two characters. Their texts, their interactions, their flirting, and their games. I did find myself giggling out loud a lot of the times. Smiling as I was reading. And I also really loved when they shared secrets.

I did really like CJ, a lot, and I liked the storyline and especially love the way that J Daniels writes. She sucks you in completely and you can't put the book down til it's over. I liked this book, it's just not my favorite in the series.

J.Daniels is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Sweet Addiction series, the Alabama Summer series, and the Dirty Deeds series.
