THE WRIGHT BROTHER

By K.A Linde

Standalone – Contemporary Romance
Release Day: February 28th, 2017

I'd dated his brother.
He didn’t remember and I wish I could forget.
I may have sworn off the Wright family a long time ago. But when I returned home, Jensen Wright crashed into my life with the confidence of a billionaire CEO and the sex appeal of a god. Even I couldn’t resist our charged chemistry, or the way he fit into my life like a missing puzzle piece.
Too bad he’d forgotten the one thing that could destroy us.
Because Jensen Wright doesn’t share. Not with anyone. And if his brother finds out, this could all go down in flames.
When it all was said and done, was he the Wright brother?

EXCERPT
Her smile was magnetic, and I just wanted to kiss her. I mean…I’d wanted to kiss her all night. But sitting there, in front of the last lit house, with Christmas music playing in the background and her smile radiating joy, there was nowhere else I’d rather be. That thought hit me so suddenly and I didn’t even know why.
I put my truck into park, leaned over to her side of the car, and pushed my hand up into her dark hair. She froze, silhouetted by the light display behind her. Her eyes locked with mine, green meeting brown, and her eyes widened with surprise. She breathed out softly, and I could feel her pulse ratchet up at my touch.
This was the girl who had pulled me across the room at Sutton’s wedding, like a magnet finding its pair. This was the tension that I’d felt when we first spoke. Here was the world of desire and lust that had clouded both of our minds ever since our first kiss.
My face was only inches from hers. I wanted to take what was mine. I wanted to claim her mouth and then her body right here in the cab of my truck, like we were young, wild, and carefree.
But, instead, I couldn’t seem to stop staring at her.
She laughed lightly to try to defuse the tension. But it wasn’t possible, and it was a feeble effort.
“Are you going to kiss me?” she whispered boldly.
I didn’t need any further prodding. I crushed my lips against hers. It was like striking a match. Our lips moved against each other, desperate with the need to get closer, to have more. She opened her mouth for me, and I brushed my tongue against hers. The groan that emanated from deep in the back of her throat made my dick twitch. Our tongues volleyed for position. She was just as aching for attention as I was.
I heard the click of her belt buckle, and soon, she was pushing her body closer, moving over the divide of my truck. My hands fell to her ass, and I effortlessly hoisted her up and into my seat. She squeaked in shock but didn’t break contact. Instead, she straddled me and let her hands wander across my chest.
My hands never left her ass because, damn, did that woman have an ass. She was grinding up against me, and I moved into a full-blown hard-on at her ministrations. She must have realized what she was doing to me because, when she swiveled her hips in place, she moaned against the feel of my dick.
In that moment, I didn’t give a shit that we were acting like teenagers, parked outside of a stranger’s house, bucking against each other for just an ounce of satisfaction. I was ready to strip her bare and fuck her until she forgot every word to every Christmas song and only remembered my name.
That was, until she rocked back just a little too hard, and a loud honk erupted from the hood of the truck.

My Rating:  4 Out of 5
They were the golden boys of fall: Stewart Mills High School’s legendary championship football team. Fourteen years later, they’re back to relive their glory, save the team—and find themselves again . . .

Sam Leavitt has returned home to Stewart Mills with one goal: to fill in for Coach McDonnell and lead the high school football team to the championship. He doesn’t have time for distractions or commitments—but he’s unable to resist falling for the sexy guidance counselor he shared a hot night with months ago.

Jen Cooper knows what she’s looking for long-term, and it’s not Sam—even though the night they shared was explosive. Now, with Sam back in town and working by her side, picking up where they left off is too great a temptation to resist. But before long their fun fling is looking like a future together. And as the championship approaches, Sam is faced with a big decision that will either break them apart—or help them find their way home.

Hotness Rating 3 out of 5

This 3rd book of the Boys of Fall series may be my favorite yet. I was looking forward to Sam's story and Ms. Stacey did not let me down. I mean who doesn't love a sexy bad boy turned good? Homecoming brought us a bittersweet tale of redemption, forgiveness and the strength to overcome the ghosts of the past. All of this in addition to a lovely small town with amusing town folk, good friends, new love and of course football!

Sam had my heart since the first time he appeared in book 1 Under the Lights. There was just something about him. You could feel the intensity and the weight he carried with him from his past pour from the pages. Yet, he was such a stand up guy that knew how to smile and enjoy the time that he had left back with his old friends and coach.

Jen was a great character. She truly had a calling when it came to her job and the kids she helped. She wanted a family and kids of her own, but being from a small town her chances of meeting a new guy were slim. Not that she wanted a new guy. Sam pretty much claimed her heart from the start despite how hard she fought it.

I loved the conversations between Sam and Coach. It cracked me up how Coach would kind of channel his inner Yoda when giving Sam advice. It made me chuckle every time. The romance between Sam and Jen was a sweet one. You kind of felt swept up in the whole thing as the couple first fought the attraction, accepted the inevitable with restrictions and then lost all control of their intentions. For me this was a fun read that ended way too soon.

For me this was a 4 star read

❤❤ Big Sky Secrets by Linda Lael Miller 4 Star Review ❤❤

My Rating:  4 Out of 5
Self-made tycoon Landry Sutton heads to Hangman Bend's Ranch to sell his land to his brother Zane. Though he's got cowboy in his blood, Landry plans to return to city life before the dust even settles on his boots. Of course, he didn't count on falling for Big Sky Country…or Ria Manning.

Ria's starting to settle into country life herself…until she has a close encounter of the terrifying kind with a buffalo. Turns out the peeping monster belongs to the cowboy next door—and he has her running even more scared than his bison. She wants a home where the buffalo don't roam, and the men don't either. Could Landry's homecoming be her heart's undoing?

Hotness Rating 3 out of 5

Big Sky Secrets was such a fitting and perfect end to the Parable, Montana series. After the last book Big Sky Wedding I felt a bit cheated and had high hopes that this book would redeem it. It did! I totally loved everything about this book!

On the surface it looked like Landry had it all, but once you looked past what he allowed himself to show the world was an insecure guy who was dealing with so much guilt it weighed him down. I loved the sexy confident man that he appeared to be. He was friendly to all and was willing to put out a helping hand when needed. But, I really loved the vulnerable Landry that questioned so many of his past choices and actions, as well as the honorable man that wouldn't allow himself to make a move on Ria while she still wore her dead husband's ring.

Ria was a character that I felt for from the minute I read her story. She loved her husband but had unfinished issues that could never be dealt with because of his untimely death. Moving on was scary not only because of the love she had for her husband, but because those unfinished issues were rearing their ugly head.

Landry was good for Ria in so many ways. She was even better for him in so many more. Their connection was more sweet than explosive or sizzling. I enjoyed their relationship as it progressed and really enjoyed seeing both of these characters change and grow with the help of one another.

Lucas Thorn wasn’t born a cheater. All it took was a single moment—say, a certain disastrous incident on the night before his wedding—and boom. Reputation destroyed forever and always. So now he owns it. He has a lady friend for every night of the week (except Sundays—God’s day and all), and his rules are simple: No commitments. No exceptions.

Welcome back to Friendship, Texas. A town where your best friend may be dating an Olympic swimmer and his best friend may or may not also be an Olympic swimmer you sort of, kind of did the nasty with against Nonna's goat pen.

“Is that…?” I asked, staring at Dr. Burly Santa.
He smiled and nodded. “That would be your baby’s heartbeat.”
The emotion I’d been storing away came flooding back as tears burst from my eyes. A baby. A person. This was real. I was carrying a tiny human inside me.
The doctor tried to console me as he gave me samples of prenatal vitamins and paper after paper was piled in a folder with my name and September on the front.
September. My baby’s due date.
Holy shit, I was going to be a mother.
And Johnny was going to be a father.
I had to do so many things to prepare and people I had to tell. But at that moment, I just stared down at my stomach. My stomach holding my baby.
This wasn’t just about me and my future anymore. This was about us. And whether I liked it or not, this baby was a part of me, which meant Johnny was a part of me. It was time we stopped running from each other.

"What are you going to do now, Sofie?" he whispered with his lips barely an inch from mine.
I figured that was basically an open invitation, so I leaned forward and crushed my lips to his.
He put his knee between my legs, spreading them apart and pressing all of him against me.
"Oh my god, that's so fucking hot," I mumbled against his lips, which sounded more like, "Oh meh ger, sah fern hert."
"So you're a talker, eh?" he said against my ear before nipping it.
"Wait, don't leave bite marks. I need those for work. My ears, that is," I said.
Johnny leaned back, the moonlight casting a soft glow on his face. "Are you way too drunk right now to do anything?"
"Are you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow before rocking my hips forward and feeling his hardness press against my core. "Guess not."
"You could get me hard whether I've been drinking all night or not," he said, pushing against me and moving his hips in a circular motion, the friction itself bringing me to the brink.
"Is this because I got my braces off and learned to straighten my hair? Because you probably wouldn’t be doing this if I were still the geek from two years ago. Though, I am still that geek, just with better hair and eyebrows," I said.
"If you sit on my face will that get you to stop rambling?" he asked.
I pouted. "No need to be rude."
"Sorry," he whispered, leaning forward. He let go of one wrist but kept the hand with my phone in it above my head.
"You can’t just say sorry and expect me to drop my panties for you. That only works in romance novels and porn," I grumbled, trying to keep my face neutral, but the guy had a smile I would definitely sit on.
"What? I gave you dinner. Well, the Contis fed you, but I did do those weird tasting shots with you. And what’s more romantic than humping against a goat house?" he asked, broadening his grin.
"Technically, it's a pen," I said.
He smirked. "Okay, smart mouth. If this isn't a come-on, then what was that whole bit about being hot and fluttering your eyelashes?"
"I was hot! I'm wearing a sweater, and we were drinking. And as far as eyelashes go, sometimes mine stick together when I use this cheap mascara. Lia told me to spring for something not in the clearance bin, but that extra five dollars could be used for things like snacks."

❤❤3.5 star review of DEATH BEFORE DAWN by Amelia Hutchins ❤❤

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Hello Diary,

Not sure when I will have a chance to write again, so I’ll have to make this fast.
The search for my brother has been a long one and what I have seen along the way makes me question everything I was taught to believe about people and reinforces what my father said might happen if an apocalyptic event were to occur.
Jaeden and I have not had the easiest of times around each other, and I feel as If something is wrong. Way wrong. He and the other vampires are acting strange, and the wolves are only a little better.
I have a Sentinel following us, and I’m not sure if I can get him to train me, or if he is here to kill me.
I’m traveling further away from everything I know, and there is no one I can trust.
I’ll give more details shortly, gotta go….
~ Emma

*Reader Advisory* This is a paranormal urban fantasy with strong themes of violence and sexual situations that are only suitable for readers over the age of 18. If you do not like dark romance, this is not the book for you.

*arc provided by the author for an honest review*

Well, well well... That surely didn't turn out how I expected. Talk about fighting to the death. Sheesh. There were quite some times here that I was actually down right surprised and how gorey things got. Emma went from being this girl in the pack, the one that was Jaeden's right hand girl... well was... but still they were togetherish... Until.. Until .. the eyes.. the feeling.. the headgames.. .the Sentinel. Boy does he throw a wrench in her plans. But wait... since we're talking head games... What the actual hell Jaeden. When he sides with the vampires, I about threw my kindle. legit.. WHat the HELL JAEDEN! Every one under the sun can see these people are pulling one over on you! Except you! He used to be my favorite. Not ANYMORE buddy!

Moving on to the appearance of this mysterious, at the beginning, Sentinel. It's like there's this feeling of mystery when it comes to them. What is he? what powers does he have? how does he do it? what does he want with Emma? Then things start to unfold and she finds herself wanting him but she doesn't want to and she doesn't know why she does. Little by little, piece by piece, the truths comes out and you learn about him. Asrael, our Sentinel. And these two are then like ying and yang. He can feel certain things, he does certain things, and protects certain people . And she is his equal. Now doesn't that just throw a kink in it for Jaeden. And I kind of giggled like a school girl. because I felt like he deserved it. I know, I know.

I found myself getting irritated with the vampires. How long was it going to take for everyone to see what they were doing with the Ark, etc. What else is Emma going to have to suffer through at the hands of them? I mean really! And when the truth comes out about her mother and her brother! HOLY HEART BREAK Amelia! What are you doing to us!?

I did like the book. Sometimes, I wasn't so in to the sex, but the majority of the book I really really liked!
3.5 stars!

❤❤Fully Ignited by Shannon Stacey 4 Star Review ❤❤

My Rating:  4 Out of 5
When Jamie Rutherford takes a temporary assignment as lieutenant of Boston Fire’s Engine 59, she doesn’t anticipate any problems. She’s been in the fire service for a long time and, even though she’s fairly new to Boston, she knows how to make any firehouse her home. What she’s not prepared for is her reaction to firefighter Scott Kincaid.

Scott is looking for a wife. It’s been a fun ride as a single guy, but he’s tired of being the third wheel, and nearly losing his brother-in-law finally made him realize just how much he wants a family of his own. When the new guy at the firehouse turns out to be a capable, confident and very attractive woman, his plan is completely derailed.

Hooking up with a fellow firefighter has never been part of Jamie’s plan, but she’s tempted by Scott—even though getting involved with him could tarnish the reputation she’s worked so hard for. And Scott can’t stop thinking about Jamie, despite the fact that she’s his superior and not sticking around. Chemistry can crush the best-laid plans, though, and while Jamie and Scott might not be each other’s future…there’s no resisting the right now.

Hotness Rating 3 out of 5

Fully Ignited may be my favorite book of the Boston Fire series. This third book of the series has everything that a good contemporary romance needs. We have the sexy, yet approachable hero, the sassy and strong heroine and just the right amount of tension to keep you interested, but not enough to make you want to lock both characters in a room until they can get their acts together. Let's not forget the sexy firefighter. In this case both of our characters just happen to be sexy firefighters. Only one of them is known for his way with the ladies and the other is super aware of how every relationship or possible relationship can affect her career. It's highly unfair yet a very real concern.

I love Scott Kincaid. We got a good introduction into his personality in Controlled Burn when his best friend was secretly dating Scott's sister. His quick temper was pretty much what he was known for. In Fully Ignited we get to see such a different side of Scott. He's tired of dating the wrong women and being known as a hothead. Eventually he wants to settle down and have a family. He knows the way to do that is to stop going out with every wrong girl that crosses his path.

Jamie Rutherford is what every little girl that has ever wanted a job in a male dominated career should strive to be. As a lieutenant without a permanent home she is sent to cover Scott's house while their Lt. is recovering from an injury. Everyone knows it's temporary going in, but as feelings develop between her and Scott it makes things that much more difficult.

The story between this couple is a hard one in so many ways, yet so easy in so many more. They have their careers in common and develop an easy friendship and relationship right off. Yet, they feel they have to hide things because of how it could affect Jamie. Then there's the obstacle of Scott thinking that if Jamie ever became a wife and mother she should pick a less dangerous career path. Double standard much? Even though Jamie understands where he's coming from she just can't give it all up.

I found the path that both of these characters traveled to be an interesting one. It was great character and story development that allowed us to not only see where each character was coming from, but to sympathize with the both of them as they fought the pull of a relationship, succumbed to it and then let their beliefs tear them apart. Luckily, as in any romance we work back around to the happy ending.

Definitely a great installment to this series. I can't wait to read more about these sexy Boston firefighters.
