Billionaires and Brides #1

Maids don't ever get to go to the ball... do they?

Jace Connors:

Stretched thin from running a business and organizing a wedding, the last thing Jace needs is the world's most eligible bachelorettes trying to sneak their way into his bed. When he meets Ella grooming the inn's horses, though, she leaves him breathless. Jace knows that he can't let her get away...

Ella McDaniels:

What starts as an almost-kiss in the barn ends up captivating Ella, even though she knows that the richly dressed Jace is out of her league. However, when he keeps showing up wherever she is, her attraction to him grows. And if she can outwit her wicked stepmother, she just might be able to dance with him at the wedding reception ball. There's only one problem...

What if Jace is actually the groom?

Prince Marco:

Not even the girl he hires to be his personal assistant, Sabrina. But when Sabrina turns out to be the best part of his vacation, he finds it harder and harder to keep his secret from her...

Sabrina Wise:

But, behind their sizzling sexual tension, she can't help but think there's something more to Marco. Who isthis gorgeous man she's taking orders from, and why is he keeping so much hidden away? If she's willing to risk everything to find out, she might end up in her own Cinderella fairy-tale ending...

What happens when Mr. Right turns out to be Prince Charming?

I am going to review this series as a whole, since I listened to all the books back to back.

Every now and then I get on this kick where I need an overly sweet romance, where I guaranteed the happily ever after .. This is exactly what you get with this series. You get that instant love, tooth ache, type of story. And for once, this is exactly what I was craving.

In each story, you get two people whom you don't think should fit, but who's chemistry is off the charts. Whether they know each others identity or not, the pull between them is undeniable. Whether its a CEO, a prince, or a rich bachelor, the ladies don't really know who they're dealing with at first. Then surprise surprise, the truth comes out and they're all dumbfounded.

My only complaint is this. With each book, we have a villain, obviously. The one that stands out the most to me, probably because it was the most recent is the Queen. There are so many things that she does that are just horrible , selfish things. And yet, at the end, when we could be given a resolution to this horrible woman and her actions, it's just brushed under the rug. She is just going to stay somewhere else. Yet, the King, who you come to care for, is just supposed to be okay with it? How she treated Sabrina, in front of people, we're just supposed to be okay with it because they had words? There is never any resolution or punishment to the villains in any of the stories. That is my only complaint.

The narrators in each story was amazing. They really brought the sweet, unblemished side of each woman to life. And when you do that, when you bring them to life, it makes it so much easier for the readers to get sucked in and not want to put the story down.

The series gets 4 stars from me.
