My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A dangerous proposal

Las Vegas Mafia boss, Nico Toscani, is used to getting what he wants, whether it is having the City of Sin under his rule or a beautiful woman in his bed. But when he meets his match in the gorgeous, headstrong Mia Cordano, the daughter of a rival crime lord, all bets are off. . .

Sexy computer hacker, Mia, struggles to break free of her ruthless father’s Mafia ties…but she can’t resist the powerful and seductive Nico, who will stop at nothing to possess her. With their families locked in a brutal war for control of the city, Mia and Nico enter into a forbidden game. Will they surrender to the passion that burns between them—and risk tearing apart their families? Or will Nico be forced to betray the only woman who sets his blood on fire?

First she got me with the MMA fighters, then it was bikers, and now it's the Mob. Is there anything that Sarah can't do?

I love loved this story. From the alpha Nico, to the independent Mia, to the crazy friend Jules, and the prim and proper perfect mafia princess sister Kat, Luca, Frankie, all of it.. I loved watching these two strong characters clash, meld into one another and become a strong chess piece in this mafia game. The Boss now had his Queen at his side, would all these other people gunning for them take them down? Could they get to them? It was such a good game of chess between her dad, Tony and Nico. Not to mention Ben.

I still feel like a lot was left dangling in front of our faces - Daisy and Ben, Kat, her dad, Tony. I know there will be more in the series, but I felt like i just needed more questions answered before this was over. Now the storyline for Nico and Mia was tied up nice and pretty, and that one I loved, especially how it ended. I was sad to see this story ending. I got sucked in from the beginning to this world of a Mafia boss with a heart and his little hacker Princess. The ties to their younger years, the secrets, the love, the desire, the heat, the passion, the fierce protectiveness they both live with, the betrayals.

I couldn't believe the betrayals that Sarah wrote into the story. The people you thought they could depend on were really rats. But I also loved the throwback to the old school mobsters and old Hollywood. I loved how these two fiercely independent, strong character became so dependent on each other because of how they felt.

I absolutely loved this book. It shouldn't surprise me that Sarah knocked it outta here (said in my best mobster Italian voice). Like I said, is there anything she can't do? I can't wait to see what happens next!!
