❤ PARIS FOR ONE by Jojo Moyes 4 star review ❤

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Me Before Youand After YouParis for One and Other Stories is an irresistibly romantic collection filled with humor and heart.

"A vicarious jolt of Parisian romance. . . Delightful." -People Magazine

"An old-fashioned, feel-good love story. . . It's as if Moyes has booked a vacation and is taking us along. To Paris. Amour!" -USA Today

"Dreamy escapism, a book you can curl up with and easily finish over a weekend, with or without a glass of wine." -Miami Herald

Nell is twenty-six and has never been to Paris. She's never even been on a romantic weekend away--to anywhere--before. Traveling abroad isn't really her thing. But when Nell's boyfriend fails to show up for their mini-vacation, she has the opportunity to prove everyone--including herself--wrong. Alone in Paris, Nell finds a version of herself she never knew existed: independent and intrepid. Could this turn out to be the most adventurous weekend of her life? Funny, charming, and irresistible, Paris for One is quintessential Jojo Moyes--as are the other stories that round out the collection.

"you see, I don't think you were my mistake. I think you may be my best thing ."

I know I'm a little late with this review. the publisher so kindly offered me a copy of the paper, THAT IS NOW AVAILABLE, for my honest review.

At first, I kind of felt bad for Nell. She doesn't do anything without weighing lists , thinking things through carefully, which of course leads to not doing much. She has her girl friends, her mom, and Pete in her life. But who's helping her live and who's making her life stagnant?

From the very beginning I didn't like Pete. From his text, to being at the bar, to his attitude. JoJo gives us a man who just doesn't have the cojones to speak up about what he does and doesn't want, and of course this impacts Nell. Now she's in a new city, far from home, alone. Nothing can go wrong, right. But what if everything goes right? Because it does, and it shows Nell maybe she isn't who she thought she was. And that, to me, is the best part of the book. watching, or reading rather, while our characters bloom and.blossom is so awesome. Especially when it's written so well as Jojo's writing is, because you feel all these changes just like that character did. You go on the trip with them.

Then we get Fabian. And honestly, I think every woman should have a little dose of Fabian in their life, at least once. And by that, I mean someone who supports you, and helps you feel alive, helps you live, and finds your beauty no matter what you're doing or how you look. these two both in different stages , as Nell calls it, really are so fluid when they're together.

Tt's books like this, characters like this, stories like this, that make me want to fall in love again.

This got 4-4.5 stars from me
