❤WAIT FOR IT by Mariana Zapata Audioreview ❤

If anyone ever said being an adult was easy, they hadn't been one long enough.

Diana Casillas can admit it: she doesn't know what the hell she's doing half the time. How she's made it through the last two years of her life without killing anyone is nothing short of a miracle. Being a grown-up wasn’t supposed to be so hard.

With a new house, two little boys she inherited the most painful possible way, a giant dog, a job she usually loves, more than enough family, and friends, she has almost everything she could ever ask for.

Except for a boyfriend.

Or a husband.

But who needs either one of those?

You know how you read, or listen to, a book and it just hits you right in the heart. And when it hits you, you just know, this book is going to make a list for you. Like one of the top reads of the year, or one of the best books ever, or just a book that's going to stay with you? Or maybe this book, this one will be the one you recommend to every single person you come into contact with? That is exactly how I felt about this book.

There was so much that Diana went through, so much that she felt, the insecurities she fought with, the snarky comments, the struggles, that I related to as a single mom. There was just so much with this book that just struck home and settled in with me, straight in my gut, deep in my heart. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's almost a feeling that gives you goosebumps because you know this one will linger. This one, this book, these characters, they're going to give you a hangover.. and that is exactly how I reacted to this book. The way she felt about Dallas, how she cared for those boys, how she didn't even realize she was the best mom to those boys and it was so effortless. So much about Diana made this book one of the best books I've ever listened to, and one of my top books of 2017.

I think a large par of why I loved this so much was the narrator. She was so absolutely amazing. Her voice, her intonations, the way she really made the feelings Diana and Dallas were going through really come to life, it was just all so incredible. And I will credit a lot of how I felt about this book to her. She was one of the best I've ever heard.

I really can't tell you how much I loved this book. This really was one of the best books I've ever read this year and can't stress how much you need this book in your life.
