i seemed to have a love/hate relationship with this book. it was so damn good with all the angst, sex and drama. but then I hated that a large majority of the book felt very repetitive... he loves me, we can't we want to, he can't. we can do this, we can't. fight fight fight, sex. it was just like okay, we get it. but then j Kenner would throw in the angst of deliverance and I would be chewing my finger nails, sitting on the edge of my bed, addicted. my honest opinion... I don't think enough happened in the book until the very end. then it was all jam packed.
i love the taboo- he's my brother, secret vigilante aspect. and i love the twists with Brody, her ex, his cover story, all that .i love the twists and turns that J Kenner gives us in this series. it's just one roller coaster ride after another.
and the sex. good god. these two sure do step it up in the book.
“Tell me what you want.”
“You.” The word was ragged. Raw. “God, Dallas, I want you.”
“You have me, baby.”
then you have moments like that where J Kenner makes me wanna snuggle my kindle like it's a bedmate.
ultimately it really is good sequel and I can't wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds
