So I read Sinner's Revenge... definitely a good book. Shady is on a mission to take out all the Death Mob members that killed his best friend Dirk. He is working undercover with Rookie and he meets Diem. Both he and Diem have a secret life that they don't find out about until half way through the book.
She is the daughter and second in command of the mafia that is in charge over both Sinner's Creed and Death Mob. Diem and Shady fight a lot and they have a totally fucked up relationship where they love pissing each other off.
She steals his truck at one point and totals it. But eventually she wants out of the life and doesn't want to be a hardcore killer anymore. She ends up working with her uncle and kills her father. Then Shady gets shit and the Nationals grant him an undecided length of time for a 'medical leave'. What is this code for you ask? Protection!
I will say the whole book I was afraid that one or both of the main characters was going to die. Especially after the twists and turns Kim handed us in Sinner's Creed. HA! I thought at one point she was going to kill Shady and then get killed herself, Diem that is. I can say this . I am definitely happy this ending was less tragic.
