❤❤ INTO THE BLUE by Chanel Cleeton 3.5ish star review ❤❤

My rating: 3-3.5 of 5 stars

From the author of Fly with Me and the Capital Confessions Novels comes the newest in the sexy Wild Aces Romance series.

Eric Jansen—call sign Thor—loves nothing more than pushing his F-16 to the limit. Returning home to South Carolina after a tragic loss, he hopes to fix the mistake he made long ago, when he chose the Air Force over his fiancée.

Becca Madison isn’t quick to welcome Thor back. She can’t forget how he shattered her heart. But Thor won’t give up once he’s set his sights on what he wants—and he wants Becca.

Thor shows Becca that he’s no longer the impulsive boy he used to be, and Becca finds herself irresistibly drawn to him. But will Thor be able to walk away from his dream of flying the F-16 for their love or does his heart belong to the sky?

i wanted to rate this higher, but I think the thing missing the most was the humor. the humor was the one thing in the first book that I absolutely loved. it was steamy, sexy, and funny. the funny was missing from this book. this book was more of an emotional read. this one contained much more heartbreak, emotions, confusion, fear of the future, etc. it wasn't a bad thing, but it sets it apart from the first book. definitely not expected.

i was worried with Eric and Becca. there was just so much heart break involved with their history. I wasn't sure that Becca was going to be able to move past it. heck, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to move past it. i know he tried, I know he wanted to be a better man, he wanted to make up for.their past, but I just don't know if he did...at least for me. i don't know if I ever felt like he redeemed himself. if he explained why he did what he did and made it make sense. i still feel like it doesn't make sense. i get it,maybe it's just that I still don't like it, even knowing why. maybe that is it. i don't know.

i loved how Chanel ended the book. and I loved their time together. i just don't know ... I don't know how I felt about them rebuilding. it didn't seem like it was enough. i did like seeing them so the things they used to do. did like seeing them catch the sheets on fire. especially when she took control.

Chanel did a good job with this sequel. I'm both super exited and super scared for the next book.

I gave this 3-3.5 stars
