I feel like I've been waiting so long for Kace's book. I fell in love with him in the Jett series and just could not shake the man, no matter what I did. No matter what happened with Jett and Goldie, my love was Kace. Now i know why. There is something about the tortured man that just pulls at me. And tortured is just one of the words that I would use to describe this character.
Good god has Meghan gives us one hot mess of a man. And I mean this in the best possible way. Oh and I stress the word HOT. Good god.
Everything between Kace and Lyla is hard in the beginning. He tortures and punishes himself, thus doing the same and hurting her.. but it's what he is so sure needs to be done. And it's painful to watch him do this to himself, because he's just one of those men you KNOW deserves better. You just KNOW it.
When he starts working through everything, when the truths come out, when the past is revealed you are almost reading along with excitement. Waiting to see how he will react. What he will do with the truth of what happened, the consequence isn't what he thought- what will he do about. As it unfolds, I was giddy. I was literally bouncing around with happiness for these two characters.
Meghan is a long time favorite of mine. If you haven't picked up a book of her before, you want to do it. She has a way of balancing steam and drama, with humor you wouldn't expect.
This was a 4.5 star read for me

Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
