Well isn't this just filled with twists and turns. So our good old Naval captain gets his shot at love. Snd one, might I add, he almost didn't get at all.
This love story is full of a lot, a lot, of hurt and betrayal... from both Dax and Holland. But it's also full of a lot of sweet too. The way this story is written is interesting. We're in present day, then it's almost as if someone hit rewind and we go to the past .. everything plays out, hearts bleed red, and the story unfolds to current day. I loved how that was done.
I also really liked the twists and turns the authors threw in this book. We have a lot of very unexpected twists and I'm dying to know the truth behind the conspiracy. I'm also dying to know if all our Perfect Gentlemen will get a HEA or not. I mean they have to, right? LB and SB won't dole out anymore heartbreak, will they?
I loved the story of Dax and Holland , even if my heart broke a little. But LB and SB did a great job of keeping me on the edge of my seat with all the angst from the emotional drama and the suspense of the truths being unveiled. It seems like every time something is unveiled, we have fifty more questions. I really hope we get them all answered.
I love when it came to Holland And Dax, they were both super strong charaxters who were able to have a softer, vulnerable side when together. Dax doesn't have to save that side just for the PGs , Holland now gets that too.. she has for years. It was a great balance to the characters and how the authors wove all the characters together was perfection.
