I am telling you Stacey is an author to read and watch. I am so surprised with this book, though I knew I shouldn't be since I loved her last series. My first reaction after getting to the end was Holy Hell that is the grand canyon of cliffhangers. Jesus Stacey, how can you leave us hanging like that?!?! just when we were really starting to warm up to the possibilities. holy sheezus.
ryker and zoe. enemies, right? out should be. heartbroken. lost. wrongfully accused. on the run. hometown in shambles. no where to go. no one to turn to. no one to trust. zoe has nothing. she needs ryker, and he needs her ...alive. the idea of these two getting along s just driven into your brain over and over through this book. Its never gonna happen. slowly you street kind of hoping it does. little by little as he opens up and you get to see the other side to him, maybe even his mute human side, you really start to like him more and more. You really start to wonder if they will act on all this sexual tension. then you get reminded how badly zoe is hurt or why ryker really keeps her around. each time, my heart kinds deflated a little. I really like the idea of something more coming from they're strange relationship. and sprig, who doesn't love that thing???
you know what I absolutely love about this book? it's Staceys ability to create this other world, this world that I knew can't ever really exist, but she makes it feel so real. she makes it seem like I'm watching the story unfold as if I were watching everything happen from a window. she just had this way of sucking you in to these alternate universes that have all this really bad shit going in, the hottest of guy s, and it makes you wanna wish you can have just one for the night.
