❤❤ MISCONDUCT by Penelope Douglas 5 star review ❤❤

Dee's Review of...
5 out of 5 stars

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Fall Away series who never fails to deliver a “powerfully written contemporary love story…”*

Former tennis player Easton Bradbury is trying to be the best teacher she can be, trying to reach her bored students and trying to forget her past. What brought her to this stage in her life isn’t important. She can’t let it be. But now one parent-teacher meeting may be her undoing…

Meeting Tyler Marek for the first time makes it easy for Easton to see why his son is having trouble in school. The man knows how to manage businesses and wealth, not a teenage boy. Or a young teacher, for that matter, though he tries to. And yet…there is something about him that draws Easton in—a hint of vulnerability, a flash of attraction, a spark that might burn.

Wanting him is taboo. Needing him is undeniable. And his long-awaited touch will weaken Easton’s resolve—and reveal what should stay hidden…

(*STANDALONE, NO CLIFFHANGER*)

You want to know what I think of this book? It's positively addicting. I felt much like Tyler. When. I wasn't reading, I was thinking of it. When I was thinking of it, I wanted to be reading it.
My mind was constantly on this book. It was definitely one that gave me a book hangover.

The chemistry between Tyler and Easton was so hot and  all consuming. I think the aspect of it being wrong, and maybe the idea of being caught it was what made it so damn hot! But there, there is also the aspect that Penelope Douglas could melt an ice cube in an igloo with her words.

It wasn't only their chemistry that had me hooked, but also the characters themselves. They are both battling how they feel, but also other things in their lives. Tyler wants to be a good dad and a good politician, plus run a huge company. Easton has to get past what happened to her in the past, but battle being a good teacher using new tools, The characters themselves, alone, were great characters. You put them together and they sizzle.

I've never read Ms Douglas before and now I'm wondering what I've been missing. What other amazing stories can she take my brain and heart on. What else of hers can I read. She definitely has a solid new reader out of me. This may be, I'm pretty sure, one of my top books of 2015. It really was one of the most addicting books I think I've read this year.

5 stars from me!
