❤❤On the Brink by Kate Willoughby 4 Star Review❤❤

My Rating:  4 out of 5

Due to popular demand, Kate Willoughby brings you Hart Griffin and Jeremy Fenton's origin story. Find out how these two met and fell in love...

Holtzer University junior Hart Griffin won't let anything interfere with his future as a professional hockey player. No way, no how. He's the star forward of his college team and a first round NHL draft pick.

One hot night with a male super fan calls into question everything Hart thought he knew about his sexuality and launches him on a soul-searching journey in which nothing is as it seems and his entire world is turned upside down.

Hotness Rating 3 out of 5

**This is a M/M Novella**

The writing of this novella was genius. You see there are already 4 books to the In The Zone series that have been released and then Kate Willougby decides to go back and write the story of Hart and Jeremy. The story that started it all. GENIUS! Why is this genius you ask? Because I freaking loved this novella so much I had to immediately buy the remaining books in the series. I am not one that reads strictly M/M or F/M, etc. I read what I like or what looks good. For those of you that are I would like to point out that this novella is M/M. The next 4 books are F/M.

Hart Griffin is an up-and-coming hockey star that is sure to get drafted into the NHL. He's a popular player who works hard and gets along well with his teammates. He's had girls, a lot of them actually, but when he looks into the crowd and sees Jeremy watching him play his immediate attraction confuses and ticks him off. I loved Hart! He broke my heart and made me cry.

But, Jeremy? Now, Jeremy was the bad*ss of this love story. He was open about his sexuality and stood his ground even when it left him open to all kinds of ridicule. He had loved Hart pretty much from the beginning yet when Hart offered him only half of himself and only in secret Jeremy respected himself enough to stand up for what he deserved. Yet, he was flexible enough to bend when it was warranted.

There was so much packed into this slightly less than 100 page love story. It always amazes me when an author can pack so much into so few pages. KUDOS, Ms. Willoughby. I can not wait to read more of this series.

This book was provided to me in exchange for my honest review.

This is a 4 Star read for me
