❤❤WHERE YOU CAN FIND ME by Fiona Cole 4.5 star review ❤❤

My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Luella King has experienced loss all her life. After losing her parents and the most important person in her life, she hesitates to open up to anyone and instead plays it safe. One night, she throws caution to the wind and gives into her desires with a sexy stranger.

Fearing her sudden and unexpected loss of control, Luella runs away from him. A chance second encounter pushes her to open her eyes and give the stranger a chance.

There’s something about Jack MacCabe that makes her feel safe enough to lower her guard. Despite how busy he is with his job as a security specialist, they continue to spend more time together and with each date and late night message she finds herself falling in love.

When a serial killer wreaks havoc on their city, Jack's dangerously close proximity to the case reignites Luella's fears of losing someone important to her. Surrendering her fears in order to keep Jack by her side challenges Luella to her limits, while Jack is under pressure to catch the serial killer before it's too late.

As Jack and Luella draw closer to one another, the killer closes in on their next victim. Soon Jack and Luella find themselves entrenched in a mystery they never saw coming.

So, Goodreads is asking me what I think. I'm writing it here first, so I can get my thoughts out. The issue is, I'm sitting here staring at this question wondering how I can clearly convey what I think. I'm blown away. I'm surprised. I'm .. just. . wow..

I had to click on this authors work to see how many other books she's written. I mean you can't write a psychological thriller like that, wait is it even considered a psychological thriller? okay, thriller .. like that, right our the gate, right? So I see she's got three books to her name, and no I don't know which is first. But still, three books - that's it?!? And this is written that well? You know who would like this book? People who like James Patterson. Especially the detective series'. That is what popped in my head when I finished... she writes like JP. I don't know if that's a compliment to this author, but it's surely meant as one.

I was on the edge of my pillow trying to figure out who the serial killer was for so long. Then when it hit me, I was like wow. The killer was right in all the notes he left.

This book was a fantastic combination of romance and thriller. I feel like those two genres were very nicely intertwined with the way the story played out. Enough of the romance to get you hot, then some murder to cool you down. And back and forth we go.

I am very much surprised, in a good way with this book. From the storyline, to the delivery, to the writing style, it doesn't feel like a new author. Its so well written. And the sex is hella hot!

I'm glad I've found this new author. If you are looking for a twist, you'll want to pick this bad boy up.
